President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned an Intensive Care Unit at Dala Orthopaedic Hospital, Kano worth N100 million built and donated by Aminu Dantata.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that Aminu Dantata also built and donated two other projects to the Dala Orthopaedic Hospital ( General Ward and Amenity Suit) which have already improved healthcare delivery system in the hospital.

The President who was represented by the Minister of State for Health, Osagie Ehanire, said, “Today I am here on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari to commission the Ultramodern Intensive Care Unit valued at one hundred million naira (N100,000,000.00) built and donated by Aminu Dantata an illustrious son of the state whom all Nigerians you should be proud of”.

He also commended Amasco, Minjirya Health Services and Pedmic Nigeria Ltd, for their cash donations and equipment to the
Spinal Centre in the hospital.

Osagie stressed that the Nigerian government is committed to improving the health of Nigerians and called on all healthcare professionals to set for themselves target of ensuring that Nigerian healthcare system grows to become one of the best in the world.

The Minister later paid a courtesy visit to Aminu Dantata, where he thanked him for his contributions in the health sector and prayed that God would give him the ability to do more.

Responding, Aminu Dantata said that, he always feel elated whenever he contributes to the development of humanity adding that such contributions have direct reward from Almighty Allah. He reiterated that he would continue to support health project in Kano and other parts of the country.

He, however, urged the Federal Government to provide drugs and other equipment to all Nigerian hospitals. The Medical Director of the Hospital, Muhammed Musa while commending Dantata for the donation acknowledged that the hospital provides care not only to people of Kano State but also to the neighbouring states.
