Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, has been given awards in two categories of this year’s Beacon of Information and Communication Technology (BoICT) awards held in Lagos on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
The indigenous ICT company was presented with, Indigenous Software Company of the Year and ICT Innovator of the Year.
Speaking on Sidmach’s achievements, deserving of the awards, Ken Nwogbo, Editor In-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of CommunicationsWeek Media Limited, organisers of the awards, said that over time, Sidmach has distinguished itself in the Nigerian ICT sector, setting a clear path for technological revolution in the country.
Nwogbo added that; “the testimonies about Sidmach’s innovation can better be told by the education community in Nigeria where the company has helped organisations including Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) achieve greater efficiency and improved operations. The company also partnered with Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) to deploy the e-Curriculum Portal, transforming teaching and learning in Nigeria.
“The Company has set a clearer path for ICT innovation to restore the dignity of education in this country. We are proud of them as an indigenous company that defies all odds to add value to the system”, he said.
“Receiving the awards on behalf of the board, management and staff of the company, Peter Arogundade, Managing Director, Sidmach Technologies expressed appreciation to all Sidmach customers who made this possible.
Arogundade said these awards are dedicated to Sidmach’s highly committed staffs that never relent in developing simplified ICT solutions to highly complex problems, thereby making it possible for easy solution deployment for our customers.
