The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will kick off on August 5, with the three-week exercise running concurrently across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement issued Monday by Caroline Embu, the director of information and public relations at the scheme, said the orientation programme would hold from Wednesday, August 5 to Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

The NYSC noted that prospective corps members can now retrieve their call-up numbers from their dashboards, ahead of the release of call-up letters.

“Call-up numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective corps members, while call-up letters will be made available in due course,” the statement read.

Olakunle Nafiu, director-general of the NYSC, congratulated the mobilised corps members on completing their studies at higher institutions within and outside Nigeria, an achievement that qualifies them for national service.

Nafiu also urged the prospective corps members to prioritise safety on their way to camp, advising against night travel and calling for strict compliance with travel and safety guidelines throughout the journey.

The development follows the conclusion of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation exercise, which was held nationwide from June 10 to June 30. In Niger State, the programme was shifted to the NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja, running from July 7 to July 27, after the state’s camp facility was damaged.
