Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu,Grammy-winning singer popularly known as Burna Boy, has added another milestone to his career after “Dai Dai,” the official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

According to Billboard, it is the first official FIFA World Cup anthem to top both charts since they launched in 2020. The song features Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll,Colombian singer popularly known as Shakira, and was written by Burna Boy, Shakira, Ed sheeran,Jon Bellion and other collaborators. Burna Boy and Shakira are also scheduled to perform at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show which is reported to last for 30 minutes.

Burna Boy was among top music artists who recently performed at the Afro Nation 2026 in Portugal drawing in over 40,000 fans.

According to Touring Data, Burna Boy’s “I Told Them…” Tour (2023–2024) is the highest-grossing tour generating $30.46 million from 22 reported shows. The tour sold 302,801 tickets, averaging 13,764 tickets per show, with an average ticket price of $100.61 and an average gross of $1.38 million per show.

The Europe tour generated $15.27 million from 150,423 tickets across six shows, while the North American tour got $15.19 million from 152,378 tickets across 16 shows. At London Stadium on June 29, 2024, Burna Boy grossed $6.15 million from 58,973 tickets.

His “No Sign of Weakness” Tour (2025–2026) has generated $3.12 million from four shows in Oceania, with an average of $772,791 per show. The shows sold 30,946 tickets, average of 7,570 tickets per show, with an average ticket price of $102.90. His Sydney concert got $1.12 million from 10,401 tickets, making him the first African artist to earn more than $1 million from a single concert in Oceania, while the Melbourne show generated $805,250 from 8,237 tickets.

Aside touring, Burna Boy became the first Nigerian artist to cross 50 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with 644 million monthly listeners on YouTube Music and 6.42 million YouTube subscribers. The figures place him among Nigeria’s most streamed artists, reflecting Afrobeats’ growing global market and the role of digital streaming in growing the reach of Nigerian music.

The figure also shows the market value of Afrobeats, as streaming numbers open opportunities for royalty earnings, international tours, brand endorsements and licensing deals, while attracting more investment into Nigeria’s music industry.
