The Lagos State Government has signed a concession agreement for the Business Process Automation (BPA) of the Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA) to automate vehicle administration services, a move aimed at improving service delivery and enabling motorists to access key services through a single online platform.

The agreement was signed by Oluwaseun Osiyemi, commissioner for transportation; Abdul-Rasheed Muri-Okunola, permanent secretary, MVAA; Bukola Odoe, special adviser, office of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP); and representatives of the concessionaire, Anchor Advisory Partners, at the Black Diamond Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Osiyemi stated that the automation initiative would simplify and accelerate vehicle registration and other MVAA services by eliminating cumbersome processes, reducing turnaround time, and enhancing service delivery for Lagosians.

He noted that the partnership would also strengthen the functionality of the MyLagosApp, enabling residents to conveniently access essential government services, timely traffic updates, and other relevant information across the state.

Also speaking, Odoe, charged the concessionaire to ensure full implementation of the agreement while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery for the benefit of residents.

The Business Process Automation initiative is expected to revolutionise the delivery of motor vehicle administration services in Lagos State by digitising critical processes, improving operational efficiency, and reinforcing the state government’s vision of building a smarter, technology-driven Lagos.
