Stanley Ihedigbo, publisher and editor-in-chief, The Mirror Newspaper, is set to be commissioned as a Deacon in the Methodist Church Nigeria in a ceremony scheduled for Sunday June 21, 2026 at the Methodist Church, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to Ihedigbo, the commissioning will mark a significant milestone in his spiritual journey by combining a career in journalism with dedicated service to God and humanity.
Ihedigbo also called for prayers urging friends and supporters to continually uphold him in prayers as he embraces the responsibilities of the diaconate, expressing confidence that God’s grace will enable him to serve faithfully and effectively.
The commissioning will follow thanksgiving worship, and fellowship as the Methodist Church Nigeria formally welcomes Ihedigbo into the office of Deacon.
Accordingly, the commissioning will bring together church leaders, ministers, family members, friends, professional colleagues, and well-wishers from different walks of life to witness the solemn occasion.

Ihedigbo, a media professional and church leader, described the commissioning as a divine privilege and an opportunity to further dedicate himself to the service of God and the advancement of His kingdom.
