Kaduna Leaders and supporters of the Accord Party on Tuesday reaffirmed their support for the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, expressing confidence in his ability to provide the leadership needed to address Nigeria’s mounting political, economic and security challenges.

The endorsement was made during a rally in Kaduna, where party members, youth groups, women associations and community leaders gathered in large numbers to demonstrate support for Olawepo-Hashim’s presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking at the event, a party leader, Sabo Jimeta, praised Olawepo-Hashim’s involvement in national affairs, commitment to democratic principles and advocacy for economic reforms and national unity. He described the Accord Party flagbearer as a visionary leader with the experience and capacity to steer the country toward progress.

According to Jimeta, Nigeria requires a leader capable of promoting inclusive governance, reviving the economy and strengthening national cohesion, adding that Olawepo-Hashim possesses the qualities needed to achieve those objectives.

The rally witnessed a large turnout of enthusiastic supporters who carried banners and placards bearing messages of support for the Accord Party candidate. Songs, chants and campaign slogans echoed across the venue as participants expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the next presidential election.

One of the most prominent messages displayed at the gathering was a Hausa inscription declaring that “Gbenga Hashim is the Saviour of Nigeria,” reflecting the confidence many supporters have placed in his leadership and political agenda.

Party officials also noted that the Accord Party recently concluded its affirmation primaries in several states, during which Olawepo-Hashim reportedly received overwhelming support from delegates and party members. They said the outcome demonstrated growing confidence in his vision for a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

Supporters argued that his candidacy offers Nigerians an alternative political platform focused on economic revival, industrial development, national unity and people-oriented governance. They urged voters across the country to support leaders they believe possess the ideas and experience necessary to tackle the nation’s challenges.

The Kaduna rally forms part of the Accord Party’s ongoing mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections. Party officials disclosed that similar campaigns and stakeholder engagements are expected to take place in other parts of the country as preparations for the polls gather momentum.
