Sweet Sensation Confectionery Limited has expanded its operation with the opening of a new outlet – ‘City Saver’ at Island General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to increasing access to affordable, convenient, and quality meals across strategic locations in Lagos.

The new outlet was established to serve hospital staff, patients’ relatives, visitors, administrators, commuters, and residents within the Lagos Island community.

The location offers a range of Sweet Sensation products, including pastries, rice meals, drinks, and the brand’s value-driven combo meals, designed to meet the needs of customers seeking tasty and affordable meal options.

Speaking at the opening, Ayo Anibaba, deputy managing director of Sweet Sensation Confectionery Limited, said, “Hospitals are places where people arrive carrying a great deal of responsibility, pressure, exhaustion, anxiety, and hope.”

“To be trusted with serving within that environment is something we do not take lightly,” she noted.

Anibaba explained that the City Saver concept is part of the way the organisation is responding to the realities of the quick service market – bringing quality, affordable and convenient food closer to customers in locations where it genuinely matters.

The launch also received activation support from Coca-Cola/NBC, who engaged customers with free drinks, gifts, and branded items, helping create a warm and memorable experience for early customers and hospital guests.

The City Saver outlet at Island General Hospital reflects Sweet Sensation’s resilience as one of Nigeria’s pioneer quick-service restaurant brands. At a time when many consumers are making more careful spending decisions, the QSR continues to adapt its service model – taking affordable meals closer to where people live, work, commute, and receive essential services.

The organisation noted that it remains committed to delivering quality meals, fast service, and competitive. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the hospital management, including the chief medical director, department heads, and the hospital media team.
