The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Ben Murray Bruce, founder of Silverbird Group, and 46 other aspirants from participating in the party’s senatorial primary elections currently holding across the country today.

This was contained in a press statement released and signed by Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary, on Monday. The list of the aspirants not cleared for the exercise was attached to the press statement.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases the list of Senatorial aspirants not cleared to participate in the Party’s Senate Primary Elections.

“The screening exercise was conducted by the Party’s Screening Committees in accordance with established procedures and guidelines,” the statement said.

Bruce, who previously represented Bayelsa East in the Senate between 2015 and 2019, is number five on the list of aspirants not cleared.

The statement, however, didn’t mention the reason why the aspirants were disqualified from the exercise.
