Nigerian-born winger Femi Azeez, who plays for Millwall, has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria, making him eligible to feature for the Super Eagles.
Azeez, born in England to a Nigerian father and Spanish mother, was eligible to represent all three nations. However, the 24-year-old has opted to commit his future to Nigeria following an approach from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), according to Footmercato.net.
Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle recently revealed plans to scout Nigerian-born talents across Europe ahead of the team’s participation in next month’s 2026 Unity Cup, and Azeez now appears set to be part of that strategy.
The in-form winger is expected to be included in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendly invitational tournament.
Azeez has enjoyed an impressive campaign with Millwall, registering nine goals and eight assists in 34 league appearances. The former Reading player’s performances also earned him a place in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season.
