The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has confirmed its first bouts as PFL Africa makes its historic debut in Nigeria, with Lagos set to host the landmark event on June 13, 2026.

Touted as the biggest MMA event in West African history, the card will feature the opening round of the PFL Africa bantamweight and lightweight tournaments, alongside showcase fights spotlighting top regional talent.

Adeshina Headlines Historic Night

In the main event, Nigeria’s Wasi “The Nigerian Jaguar” Adeshina (10-3) will take centre stage in a featherweight showcase bout against Spain’s Ignacio “Nacho” Campos (7-2).

Adeshina will be looking to electrify the home crowd in what promises to be a defining moment for Nigerian MMA, while Campos arrives in strong form following a victory over Mathys Duragrin at PFL Madrid.

Ocheme Leads Nigerian Charge in Co-Main Event

The co-main event features a high-stakes lightweight tournament opener between Nigeria’s Patrick “Star Boi” Ocheme (8-1) and Cameroon’s Octave “The Bantu Warrior” Ayinda (7-1).

Ocheme will aim to leverage home advantage as he begins his tournament run, while Ayinda seeks to make an early statement in the competition.

PFL Targets African Breakthrough

“Making our West African debut in Lagos is a major milestone for PFL Africa, and one we’re incredibly excited about,” said Elias Schulze, general manager of PFL Africa.

“Nigeria brings incredible passion, culture, and talent, and Lagos is the perfect stage for this moment. The energy from the fans, the depth of local talent, and the opportunity to showcase it all on a global platform make this event truly special.”

Further bouts for the PFL Africa: Nigeria card are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as anticipation builds for a groundbreaking night in African MMA.
