The party noted that the loss of more than 30 lives in such a violent manner — particularly during the solemn period of Palm Sunday — has left the nation in deep shock. Sani emphasised that the incident underscores the urgent need for sustained and enhanced measures to safeguard communities and prevent further occurrences.
On behalf of the ADP, Sani expressed deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, those who sustained injuries, and all residents affected by the incident. He stated that the party stands in solidarity with the people of Plateau State during this painful time.
The ADP acknowledged and supported the steps taken by the provincial administration to restore calm, including the imposition of a curfew in affected areas. Sani noted that while these measures may pose temporary inconveniences, they are necessary to prevent escalation and ensure the safety of lives and property.
The party urged security agencies to intensify efforts to identify, apprehend, and prosecute the perpetrators. Sani argued that justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done to restore public confidence and deter future attacks.
