Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has successfully undergone surgery following the hand injury he sustained during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Super Eagles forward featured only in the first half before being substituted after fracturing his hand in a challenge with Ibrahima Konate.

In a statement released on Monday, Galatasaray confirmed that the 27-year-old underwent a successful operation carried out by club doctor Yener İnce at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital.

“Our player Victor Osimhen, who was injured and unable to continue the game against Liverpool, underwent a successful operation today,” the club said, wishing him a speedy recovery.
Osimhen’s injury forced him off during the crucial Champions League encounter, dealing a blow to the Turkish side as they continue their domestic and European campaigns.
The Nigerian striker has been a key figure for Galatasaray this season, and his recovery will be closely monitored by the club’s medical team, who remain optimistic about his return to full fitness in the coming weeks.
