Yakubu Dogara, former speaker of the 8th Assembly, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote food sufficiency, employment opportunities, and inclusive economic growth, while advocating stronger collaboration between government and the private sector.

The former speaker said this during the visitation of the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to his Manchong Integrated Farm, along Abuja-Keffi Road.

He expressed his appreciation to Governor Mutfwang for the visit and for the priority his administration has placed on agriculture as a catalyst for development.

Speaking during the visitation, the Plateau State governor described Manchong Integrated Farm as a model enterprise with immense potential to deepen the state’s agricultural value chain, boost productivity, stimulate youth participation in agriculture, and promote sustainable agribusiness development.

The governor commended Dogara for his vision, investment, and commitment to modern and integrated agricultural practices.

He expressed the readiness of his administration to mobilise Plateau youths to acquire practical skills from the farm, with a view to replicating such initiatives across the state and fostering economic self-reliance.

He said that the visitation was part of the governor’s sustained efforts to assess private sector–driven agricultural initiatives and to strengthen partnerships aimed at enhancing food security, economic diversification and job creation in Plateau State.
