The Emmanuel Osemota Foundation (EOF) has reaffirmed its dedication to improving access to quality education in Edo State through two major outreach events that provided school children with essential learning materials in Auchi and Ekpoma.

The twin events, which held on October 31 this year, formed part of the foundation’s annual education initiative designed to support pupils in rural communities with basic academic tools and to promote a culture of learning, faith, and service.

At the All Saints Model Nursery and Primary School in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area, the foundation held the Lucy Osemota Education Fund Backpack Giveaway, distributing backpacks filled with notebooks, pens, pencils, and other supplies to excited pupils.

The outreach was held in honor of Lucy Amadin Osemota (née Ogbeide), who served faithfully for many years as the Head Sunday school teacher at All Saints Cathedral Children Church in Auchi. She was remembered for her devotion to children’s education and moral upbringing.

Community members, teachers, and clergy joined the celebration, which began with prayers and songs of thanksgiving. Representatives of the Foundation expressed gratitude to the school administration for its cooperation and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to educational development in the region.

Later the same day, the Foundation’s team visited Ujemen Primary School in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area, for the Dr. Samuel Uwa Osemota Achievers’ Awards School Drive. The outreach supplied pupils with books and writing materials while celebrating the enduring legacy of Dr. Samuel Uwa Osemota, a scholar known for his dedication to academic excellence and community service.

During the event, pupils were encouraged to emulate Dr. Osemota’s values of hard work, faith, and integrity. The Foundation also commended the Ministry of Education, Esan West Local Government Education Authority, and school leaders for their support in making the program a success.

Speaking on the significance of the outreaches, Dr. Emmanuel Osemota, founder of the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation, said: “Our goal is to give every child the tools to dream and the courage to achieve. Education remains the cornerstone of a better tomorrow, and we are proud to play our part in building that future for our children.”

He added that the Foundation will continue to expand its education programs, focusing on underserved schools and ensuring that pupils across Edo State receive the encouragement and resources needed to succeed.

Since its inception, the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation has conducted numerous education-centered initiatives, including scholarship programs, mentorship opportunities, and annual donations of school supplies to children in rural communities.

The recent events in Auchi and Ekpoma once again highlight the Foundation’s deep commitment to youth empowerment, literacy advancement, and community development across Edo State.
