Lagos witnessed a wave of youthful energy and creative expression as the #TAGItOn Rally took over major areas of the state, spreading a simple but powerful message , “Don’t Troll, Just TAG It On.”

The awareness drive, organised by Imperio International Ltd, makers of TAG Ultra Dry Antiperspirant Roll-On Deodorant, held across different parts of the city including Falomo in Ikoyi, Surulere Stadium and its environs, Tejuosho in Yaba, Maryland, and Ikeja Underbridge.

According to organisers of the rally, the movement sought to draw attention to the need for kindness and positive energy in place of trolling, particularly when you meet someone that needs to smell fresh. With colourful placards, chants, and branded props, Lagosians engaged with the central idea: rather than troll or tear others down, there’s always a smarter, fresher alternative: “Don’t Troll, Just TAG It On.”

Speaking at one of the locations, Roseline Abaraonye, Marketing Director at Imperio highlighted the essence of the campaign as both a social message and a product awareness initiative.

“As Imperio, we are flagging off the ‘Don’t Troll, Just TAG It On’ campaign for our TAG deodorant, and this is to help drive awareness about the high-quality premium product we have to offer. The fact is, we should be kinder and nicer to each other, so instead of trolling someone, just hand them over a TAG deodorant. It’s affordable, premium, and offers 48 hours of protection. You don’t have to break the bank to own one or even gift one to your loved ones,” she explained.

She further added that the choice of holding the activity at Lagos’ busiest areas was strategic. “We know Lagosians are busy, and a lot happens around these locations. Doing the campaign under the four bridges and at Maryland was a way to grab attention and create awareness for this brand while building expectations towards our bigger activation coming up at Ikeja City Mall on Saturday. Today was about awareness, but Saturday will be about brand experience.”

On her part, Naomi Atafiri-Biyang, Digital Marketing Manager at Imperio, stressed the broader aspirational angle of the rally. “With our TAGline ‘Don’t Troll, Just TAG It On,’ we’re saying when someone is dealing with low confidence or body-sensitive issues, don’t troll them, just TAG it on. Literally, TAG is like that friend who always plugs you on how to look good, feel good, and step out with confidence. That’s basically what this is about.”

She described “TAG It On” as a phrase that can extend beyond deodorant to everyday life. “TAG that person who’s been there for you, who keeps you updated, who shares the best tips. That’s how TAG fits into the lifestyle of aspirational Nigerian youth. We’re only starting, and there’s a lot more to come in this 360-degree campaign that will touch trade, markets, experiential spaces, and digital platforms. This rally is just the first step in putting our message out there. People should stay tuned to their neighborhoods, malls, markets, and social media to see more from us,” she said.

The TAG Ultra Dry Antiperspirant Deodorant comes in seven variants tailored to different personalities and lifestyles: Cool Breeze, Turbo, Sensitive Skin, Romantic Charm, Powerful Defense, Fresh Mint and the widely popular Whitening. Each variant is enriched with an ultra-dry, quick-dry formula that guarantees up to 48 hours of protection.
