The long anticipated Season 10 of The Next Titan, Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurial reality TV show, has kicked off in Lagos, with 20 top contestants emerging for the competition.
Tagged “The Unconventional”, the 2025 edition was unveiled recently at Marriott Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.
The intrigue of the 10-week competition lies in demystifying the possibility of entrepreneurship and igniting entrepreneurial spirit of young talented Nigerians, while showcasing the the possibility of entrepreneurship in transforming lives with just an idea that that can be scaled to greatness.
The show scouts for young talented people who possess entrepreneurial acumen, then grooming them through rigorous tasks, boardroom process, and mentorship.
Ultimately, it looks for a winning idea that can scale existing businesses and create more job opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Mide Akinlaja, executive producer, The Next Titan, said, “We are excited to inform you that we are set for the new season, which is our 10th anniversary edition.
“This will give these young ambitious entrepreneurs another opportunity to showcase their business ideas and compete with one another. The total prize for the season is N50 million. The winner will smile home with N40 million, and consolation prizes of N5 million for the first runner up, N3 million for the second runner up and N2 million for the third runner up.”
The Season 10 process started with auditions in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos, and an online audition for those who were unable to attend in person. It was followed by the Top 50 bootcamp from which the Top 20 finalists were unveiled at the ceremony to qualify for the Titan House to compete by executing weekly business tasks and challenges around the city of Lagos for ten weeks on television, and with weekly evictions in the Titan boardroom.
Akinlaja explained that the reality show’s platform aimed to develop entrepreneurship among the youth through identifying the best business minds and supporting their entrepreneurial acumen through logistical assistance, informal training, knowledge and other requisite services.
Just like the previous season, each week’s task will incorporate various aspects of business: sales, marketing, promotions, charities, advertising pitches and others.
The contestants will also experience the importance of philanthropy and community service by initiating such campaigns on the show.
Apart from the audition judges, the judges of the main show are top Nigerian business leaders and they will take advantage of their positions as judges to mentor the contestants and millions of viewers. The mentorship aspect of the show will also entail the visiting of other young successful entrepreneurs to the Titan House on a weekly basis.
The show is designed as an entertainment and will be delivered through an exciting entertainment vehicle but its primary purpose is to awaken the entrepreneurial spirits of audacity and creativity of young Nigerians thereby accepting responsibility of being masters of their own destinies.
At the unveiling, Akinyemi Bankole, Lagos State Commissioner for Wealth Creation, said that the government acknowledged the important role The Next Titan is playing to build the visions of young entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
He announced that the government would greatly support the next edition of the show in 2026.
Judges for the show include: Chunks Iwunoh, Ronald Ajiboye, and Victoria Mamza. They travelled to four regional cities for the auditions, and selected the 20 finalists that were unveiled.
But the judges of the main show are: Kyari Bukar; Tonye Cole; Chris Parker; and Lilian Olubi. They had always invested their time, energy and intellect in the show every year.
Meanwhile, the title sponsor of this year’s edition is Betano, a global game tech and betting company with presence in about 20 countries.
