Paul Schoenholtz, a Thailand-based tour operator, has asked Nigeria and Thailand to strengthen ties in the area of tourism.
Schoenholtz said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.
He urged the governments of both countries as well as the stakeholders in the tourism sector to partner to develop the potential of the industry.
He said the synergy would boost the tourism potential of both countries and strengthen the bilateral relations between them.
Schoenholtz said that historically, Nigeria and Thailand had excellent trade relations, adding that both nations should work together to strengthen ties in the tourism sector.
“Both countries have similar tourism experiences and the synergy that has been there for a very long time should be continued.
“We will work with our Nigerian friends so that the bilateral trade ties are not only sustained but expanded further to tourism”, Schoenholtz said.
