Police on Wednesday arrested a woman carrying a Vietnamese passport at Malaysia’s international airport for suspected involvement in the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s half brother.
The 28-year-old suspect, named as Doan Thi Huong, was “positively identified from the CCTV footage at the airport and was alone at the time of arrest,” which occurred Wednesday morning, a police statement said.
Kim Jong Nam was apparently killed by poisoning on Tuesday at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Police said they were still searching for another female accomplice, as well as “several more suspects” thought to be involved in the killing, The Star Online reported.
