Funmi is an independent Non-Executive Director at Ecobank & Prestige Assurance Plc.
She is also the Chairman, LASAL Foundation, and she is committed to dedicating increasing time to bring her rich finance and risk management experience to the governance of businesses, through independent/non-executive directorship roles.
LASAL Foundation seeks to promote social mobility through the grant of educational scholarships and bursaries to indigent but brilliant students in Nigeria. The purpose is to give the beneficiaries a chance to succeed despite their humble beginnings. At LASAL, they believe that in educating indigent students, they can help alleviate poverty in their families as they in turn help educate those close to them.
The mission of the Foundation is to promote social mobility through financial help and counsel by granting scholarships to and mentoring indigent students in Nigeria.
Their vision is to be regarded as an influential organisation, promoting and contributing to social mobility and the alleviation of poverty through education in Nigeria.

Funmi is a fellow of both the UK Association of Certified Accountants(FCCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(FCA).
Her career is about 40years spanning accounting practice, banking and business management. In her current executive role as CEO of Abitos Financial Services Limited, she manages their portfolio of real estate and financial investments and provides financial advisory services to clients.
Prior to this, she worked in the banking sector which culminated in her role as the bank treasurer of First bank of Nigeria. Earlier, she worked in Accounting and consulting practice between 1981 and 1992 in the firms of Coopers & Lybrand in Nigeria and KPMG at the London office.
She has taught finance on the Executive programmes at the Lagos Business School, and has also coached and mentored on the platform of WIMBIZ (Women in Management and Business). Funmi is a member of the Lagos angel investors network.
On the board of Ecobank Nigeria Limited, she chairs the Risk Committee and serves on both the Credit & Audit Committees.
Oyetunji is also on the board of American Towers Corporation in Nigeria where she chaired the audit committee.
She is a member of the council of BDAN (Bank Directors Association of Nigeria) where she is Vice President of council.
In addition, she provides personal financial planning advisory services to high net-worth clients.
