In response to reports of some Nigerians with valid Visa‎s being denied entry into the United States of America,the U.S Embassy  in Abuja has clarified their stance on the issue,stating that there is no reason for Nigerians with valid visas to postpone or cancel their travel to the United states.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Public Affairs section of the United States Embassy Office in Abuja,the United States said Nigeria is not named in the Executive Order or Immigration issued on March 6 by the Donald Trump’s led government,stating further that Nigerians with valid Visa can travel.
“The U.S Embassy in Abuja wishes to clarify that there is no reason for Nigerians with valid visas to postpone or cancel their travel to the United States.N‎igeria is not names in the Executive Order on Immigration issed on March 6,and there is no prohibition against Nigerian lawful permanent residents or persons with valid visa or other U.S government authorisation from entering the United States”The statement clarified.
‎Meanwhile,recent statement from the Abike Dabiri. Erewa,the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs and diaspora  has advised Nigerians who do not have compelling reasons to travel to the United states not to embark on such trips at this time until President Donald Trumpt’s immigration policy becomes clear.
The advice,Abike had explained came on the heels series of reports received by her office on with regard to few cases of Nigerians with valid multiple-entry US visas being denied entry and sent back to Nigeria.
Nevertheless,the Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, has in contradiction to the earlier stance of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora said no Nigerian with full valid entry has been denied entry to the United States.
