Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has applauded the developmental efforts of his Abia State counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu, despite the scarce resources at his disposal.
The Governor, in his visit to Abia State commended Ikpeazu for managing the money available to him judiciously to be able to complete so many road projects in Aba, thereby alleviating the plight of the people.
Tambuwal, who accompanied Ikpeazu to commission Ehere, Umuojima, Umuocham-Umule-Umuehilegbu roads, all in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, appealed to the people of the State to continue to support Ikpeazu to do more.
Governor Ikpeazu, disclosed that most of the roads being constructed in Aba, by his administration were designed to create access to strategic markets in the city with a view to enhancing the economic development of the State.

Ikpeazu explained that he is working hard to intervene on PortHarcourt Road, saying that he will not be deterred by the scarce resources at his disposal.
He promised to do his best to lift the burden of the people of the State and assured that he would complete all the projects he started in the State, noting that he has opened discussions with his Akwa Ibom State counterpart on how to rehabilitate the deplorable Aba-Ikot Ekpene road soon.
The Governor, who also flagged–off the MCC road, in Aba, thanked Tambuwal for coming to commission the road projects.
Eziuche Ubani, State’s commissioner for Works, described the roads as important and strategic, saying that they all came with drainages to check flooding, while the rigid pavement technology was adopted to make them more durable.
