After careful assessment of Delta State and its brand architecture, an entrepreneur, Gregory Edor said the reason for his establishment of Quest broadcasting station, comprising radio and TV stations is to positively reconstruct the narratives of the oil producing state, in addition to offer platform for products marketing and entertainment.

Already, the radio station FM 93.1 covering the whole of Delta State and its environs has hit the airwaves since April this year while the TV station which is currently under test-run is expected to start broadcasting early next month. “Our objective is to project Delta from within the state rather than projecting it from outside. Another objective is to expose different brands to Delta people and its environs through the radio and the TV stations and provide jobs for Nigerians”

He told managers of the media agencies that the management of Quest is willing to partner with them in running the radio and TV stations as it would be difficult to run the station without their support. We want to partner with you. It is also important to let you know that we are positioned to assist your clients reach their target audience and help them achieve their market objectives”,Edor said.

Edor said that the stations are not politically motivated. “It is a commercial enterprise and solely owned by me. It is a platform to project

Delta State. It is also a commercial enterprise as nobody ventures into a business without hoping to reap from it”. He said he wants to make Delta a hub for business and tourism.

He expressed confidence that with huge investment, the station can compete with any station as he assured of good quality pictures on the TV and audio quality. Edor further said that the management is partnering with BBC for staff training on news production. Also speaking, the Lagos Manager of the stations, Roy Osuji said he consum intends to drive the marketing of the stations through content creation.

“We want to work with creative minds to create contents that resonate with the people. We also want to work closely with advertising agencies to keep the contents on air”He agreed that there are lots of radio and TV stations in Lagos, but said that marketers want to advertise pan- Nigeria audience using with data.
