Godsday Orubebe, a former Niger Delta Affairs Minister has been granted bail by the Abuja High Court. He stands accused of diverting N2.3 billion meant for the dualisation of Section IV of the East-West Road, bail was set at N10 million.
Oludare Alaba and Ephraim Zeri, Directors of contract in the Ministry were similarly granted bail of N20 million each. The three men are faced with a six-count charge by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
Presiding judge, Justice Olukayode Adeniyi ordered that Orubebe remain in the custody of the ICPC until his bail conditions are met, adjourning the case till Nov. 10 for hearing.
