Reacting to the media, alleging removal of the Kano state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Umar Doguwa, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has said that no decision has been taken yet.
National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Bolaji Abdullahi said in Abuja that, no such decision has been taken by the NWC.
“Although, we are aware of issues in the Kano State chapter, efforts to find lasting solutions to the problem are ongoing. In view of this, the status quo is maintained until the ongoing process is completed.
“Party members, stakeholders, leaders and indeed the general public are advised to disregard the false reports”, Abdullahi said.
It will be recalled that the state executive committee of the APC in the state, had over the weekend suspended Doguwa who was accused of being loyal to the former governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, replacing him with Abdullahi Abbas.
The emergence of Abbas came after delegates conducted a consensus congress into 15 vacant positions of the party, a development which was witnessed by the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, however Kwankwaso was absent at the event.
