The National Bureau of Statistics was awarded the, “Public Sector Star Website Award” by Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA).
According to the NBS report released on Wednesday, the Award was among twenty categories of other awards given by NiRA on Friday at Lagos, the Award was purely meant to celebrate excellence which is a value for those who worked for it.
Other Public institutions nominated by NiRA for the Public Sector Star Website Award category included: Federal Inland Revenue Service; Joint Admission and Matriculation Board; Nigeria Custom Service; Nigerian Communications Commission and West African Examination Council.
The Statistician General of the Federation in His remark explained that the winner of the various award categories were selected in a transparent manner. He however thanked the organizer and the general public who voted in favour of NBS.
