As part of commitment to encourage trade and investments into Nigeria, the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) is embarking on a six-day mission, starting from June 20 to 27, in Washington DC, United States.
The Trade and Investment mission is an annual commitment in which NACC promotes the development of trade, commerce, investment and industrial technological relationships between the public and private sectors in Nigeria and the US. Hence, the chamber tries to reinforce mutual relations between businesses, investors, and government representatives on both sides.
Delegates on the mission for 2018 will participate in the Africa Trade and Investment Global Summit (ATIGS), which will feature over 2,000 participants, 70 countries, 16 economic sectors, 150 speakers and 350 global investors for networking, markets knowledge sharing, marketing and deal making opportunities.
ATIGS 2018 is a high-level conference, trade show and biennial business platform designed specifically to promote and facilitate international trade and foreign direct investment into Africa.
According to NACC, the six days period will see participants engage with chambers of commerce from different countries, sector presentation and round-table B2B meetings and engagement with the Nigerian Diaspora Business Community.
“This is a time when participants leverage on the Chamber’s initiative to meet new international buyers and distributors, expand into market, exchange market knowledge, network, gain insight from industry experts and promote their business across border, further generating new businesses for their companies,” NACC said in a statement.
The NACC has been organising trade missions to the US. In 2017, the Chamber led delegates to Miami Florida, USA, where they were able to seal new business deals and investments.
“This year, the Chamber in its gamut of linking businesses in Nigeria to global enterprises will not only create business opportunities for participating delegates but is prepared to lead a movement of many more success stories,” NACC noted.
