Lawan faults attack on Emir of Potiskum

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has faulted the attack on the convoy of the Emir of Potiskum emirate of Yobe State, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram which happened in Kaduna state .

Assailants had on Tuesday night reportedly attacked the convoy of the Emir in Maraban Jos, along Kaduna-Zaria road.

While some of the Emir’s aides were gruesomely murdered, several other persons were said to have sustained varied degree of injuries.

On Wednesday, Lawan through a statement by his special adviser on media, Ola Awoniyi, condoled with the Emir and families of those who were killed or injured in the heinous attack.

While praying for speedy recovery of the Emir and others who were injured, the Senate President said the perpetrators must be fished.

Consequently, Lawan has called on security agencies to “ensure that everyone with a hand in the heinous crime is brought to justice.”

He further directed the security personnel to ensure quick rescue of those who were abducted in the incident.
