The laws of Lagos State from the creation of the state in 1967 are to be accessed online going forward, as Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday, announced that his administration was developing an online platform that would give residents, investors and businesses a 24-hour access to the laws.

According to Ambode, at the event that held in Ikeja, the state capital, the initiative will help prospectors to avail themselves of the various legal protections for their persons and investments in Lagos.

“The Lagos State Reform Commission (LAWRECOM) is at an advanced stage of developing an online platform for accessing the laws of the state and downloading such laws,” he said.

The governor noted that the online platform would also provide access to all the laws that had been incorporated in the state since the creation till date.

“This will further fulfil the obligation of the state government to create easy access to the laws, thereby promoting platform for accountability and responsibility,” Ambode said.
