Jigawa Governor tasks Muslims on tolerance, foregiveness, unity

The Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting where he emphasised the importance of peace, unity and tolerance among the diverse people of the country.

Governor Badaru, in his Sallah message to  People of Jigawa State and all Muslims, across the country,  enjoined them to uphold the virtue of forgiveness, patience, charity and be of brothers keeper  all time.

In his word’s“ Ramadan, is a month of fasting, charity, compassion,forgiveness and reflection. and “Eid-el-Fitr reminds all of us, as Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to maintain the spirit and lessons learned  during Ramadan throughout the year: to promote peace, to help the needy and displaced, to respect diversity, and to empathise with everyone around us.

“As you mark this special holiday with your  loved ones, I urged our Muslims Ummah to offer prayers to our country, for peace and prosperity as we are all woking hard to ensure challenges confronting us are fully address.”

Governor Badaru also urged the Muslims faithfuls to take advantage of the spirituality of this period to continue  offer special prayers our country for the peace and prosperity as government at all level are working assiduously to surmount lbarrage of  challenges confronting the nation.

The governor also use the opportunity to once again  extended his appreciation to  people of Jigawa state for the confidence repose on him which they expressed  through the ballot during the last general election by overwhelmingly  voted him for the second time as governor.

He assured that his administration will continue to  prioritize policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the people and  promising to be just and fair to all irrespective of political affiliation.
