Lawrence Osa-Afiana, a faculty of Lagos Business School, was the pioneer managing director/chief executive officer of Citizens International Bank and Bank of Industry. He has over 25 years’ experience with merchant, commercial and development banking institutions. His background includes vast experience in corporate banking with Bank of America, Citibank and Nigeria International Bank. He holds a BSc degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MSc and PhD from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.

Cathy Clardy Patterson is an investment banker and former Managing Director of Nomura Securities, New York. Her exposure ranges from capital markets to real estate, mortgage and asset-backed securities. She also practiced law, specialising in complex banking and capital market transactions including securities offerings with derivative companion classes and legislative matters regarding the regulation and suitability and other investment instruments. Carthy served as Vice President at Shearson-Lehman New York before becoming the managing director of Nomura Securities International in an impressive career on Wall Street that spanned from 1987 to 1996. She was responsible for establishing Nomura Asset Capital Corporation, Nomura Asset Securities Corporation, and Asset Securities Corporation.

She has a Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School, Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Industrial Relations from Minnesota State University and a degree in Commercial Real Estate Investment analysis from New York University.

Garba Imam served on the Board of Enterprise Bank as a non-Executive Director and was on the executive team of NAL Bank Plc and later Sterling Bank as an Executive Director. He was also at Chase/Continental Merchant Bank, CMB Homes Limited, Visa Investments and Securities Limited and African International Bank Limited.

Garba was educated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Birmingham University, Imperial College of the University of London and Ashridge Management College, all in the United Kingdom.

George Etomi, a partner at George Etomi & Partners is the first chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law. Prior to establishing George Etomi & Partners, he worked with Chris Ogunbanjo & Co.
