Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has approved the appointment of Ukam Edodi as the new chairman of the state’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

A statement by Christian Ita, special assistant on media/chief press secretary to the governor, said the governor also approved the appointment of Gabriel Okulaja as the special adviser, Department of Public Transport (DOPT).

Others appointed are: Eval Imoke, special adviser, project monitoring, and Mfon Bassey, chairman, Commercial Transport Regulatory Agency.

The appointments are with immediate effect.
