Nigeria biggest beer brand maker, Nigerian Breweries Plc, makers of Gulder premium beer on Monday August 24th at the popular Michael Okpara square in Enugu state held a Special Recognition for the Media at the maiden edition of the 2015 “Gulder Golden Chase”, where over 123 journalists across the states participated at a rigorous race game, after a heart breathing chase, one Chuka Nnabuife, from Anambra state emerged winner of the contest and won the grand prize of a brand new Hyundai Elantra car. Other journalists went home with consolatory prizes.

Speaking on his high flying feat, the Anambra base journalist expressed his delight and thanked Nigerian Breweries for the initiative.

“I feel so happy and elated to be the first winner of the Gulder Golden Chase; Nigerian Breweries have proved to me that this is a genuine contest,” Nnabuife said.

Also, at the historic event, the world’s biggest poster “The Gulder Ultimate Poster” measuring 5,367 square metres was unveiled, broking the record for the existing largest poster measuring 4,793.65 square metres, which was displayed in India on June 27, 2015.

In his speech, Nicolaas Vervelde, managing director, Nigerian Breweries Plc said Gulder breaks the record for the largest poster in the world with over 5,300 square meters poster to make the Guinness Book of record.

“Gulder breaks the record for the world’s largest poster with an area of 5.367 square metres. The Ultimate Poster beats the current record of 4.7 square metres achieved in Kochi, India on June 27th, 2015. This feat is an attestation to the Ultimate Man who stands up to be counted.”

Speaking at the epoch making event, the executive governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who was represented by the commissioner for commerce and industry, Sam Ogbu-Nwobodo applauded Nigerian Breweries for choosing Enugu state and maintained that the Cole city remains the best investment destination for investors.

“Indeed, this is a very momentous feat and I applaud Nigerian Breweries Plc, makers for choosing Enugu as the take off point for this milestone event. Enugu has also been one of the most lucrative tourist destinations for businesses. By implication, Enugu will also be in the Guinness book of world records for hosting this event.”
