Muhammad Bello, Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has reshuffled his cabinet with the sack of Jamila Tangaza as Director of Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS).
Tangaza who was appointed by the immediate past FCT Minister, is presently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged diversion of N150 million and over N1 billion stashed in a bank in Nasarawa State using fictitious name, identity and other particulars.
Bello who announced Tangaza’s sack, however approved the immediate appointment of Adamu Hussaini Jibrin as the new Director of Land Administration and Isa Jalo as the Director of Abuja Geographic Information System.
This new redeployment, which also affects the Departments of Parks & Recreation as well as Development Control, was contained in a circular dated August 10, 2016 signed by the FCT Permanent Secretary, Babatope Ajakaiye.
The new Directors of Parks & Recreation as well as Development Control are Ali Ukele and Mukhtar Galadima Usman respectively.
Others are Imande Victoria – Director, Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD); Obiechina Helen Nneka, Director, Resettlement & Compensation; Ahmed Zalihau, Director, Urban & Regional Planning; Okoroukwu Humphery- Director, Public Health; Jogai Cerie- Director, Archives & History Bureau and Olaloye Marufu Omoniyi, Director, Facilities Maintenance & Management.
Abubakar Yahaya is now the Secretary, Urban & Regional Planning Tribunal, while Ohamma Perpetual Ndawii was mandated to take charge as the Deputy Director (Planning & Resettlement) in the Resettlement & Compensation Department.
The Circular also directed that all Deputy Directors currently in the Departments of Land Administration and Development Control are affected by this posting and should report to the Department of Establishment and Training for further posting instructions.
The former Directors Land Administration, AGIS, Parks & Recreation, Facilities Maintenance & Management, Urban & Regional Planning, Development Control and Ibiang Okoi Ikpi of Facilities Maintenance & Management are to await further posting; while former Deputy Director/ Land Registrar in Land Administration Department is o report to Legal Services Secretariat for posting.
The circular further directed that these changes are with immediate effect and that all handing and taking over formalities are to be completed unfailingly on or before Friday, August 12, 2016.
