Entertainment industry mourns popular OAP “Bigtyme”

Onome Oyaide, Rhythm FM’s On Air Personality also known as “Big tyme”, has died, reports said.

Oyaide was reported dead Sunday. He was popular for his “Afternoon Drive Show” with Elbama on Rhythm 93.7fm.

The news of his demise was first announced by a close colleague, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi of beat FM in a tweet.

She tweeted “Rest in Peace, Big Tyme. Sigh. Just a pleasant, happy guy.”

A lot of stars in the entertainment industry made their tribute to him, pointing out his big impact in the entertainment industry.

F.shaw, @FshawkingFisher tweeted “painful. You were so selfless. I’ll always regret not being able to do something special for you. Rest in peace big brother, BigTyme Onome Oyaide.”

@DJINEE tweeted “Bigtyme! He was one of the good ones. No one can say anything bad about Onome Oyaide. Rest in Peace, bro. This hurts.”

Some of his colleagues in the radio space also paid their tribute to him.

Osi, host morning rush The Beat fm tweeted “Rest well big tyme, I’m glad you lived life and you touched so many doing it. I will never forget you big bro, it hurts, I won’t lie.”

His Co-host Elbama, on the popular show “ Afternoon drive show ” expressed his hurt over Bigtymse’s death in one of his several tweet saying,
“When no one believed in me, you gave me a chance, even putting your job on the line, just for me cos you saw something, you created the personality known today as Elbama… I owe it all to you, I’ve cried tir.”

He was recognized in Vectors, music track “Distraction”, “!My music is doing it big time, Onome Oyaide”.
