Empowering women in business: CFYE, Shecluded collaborate to create jobs

When more women work, economies grow. According to the United Nations, if women’s paid employment rates were raised to the same level as men’s, the economy would be better.

Women’s economic empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality in addition to other positive development outcomes.

It is on this knowledge that the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) has joined forces with Shecluded, a dynamic business network, to empower women entrepreneurs and catalyze job creation.

The project is designed to create and improve women entrepreneurship for youth job creation. The project impact goal is to be able to create employment for 3600 young women within the ages of 18 – 35 in the next two years.

The initiative is targeted at five states in Nigeria and is set to invest a total of one million euro in the female economy.
