Abdulazeez Ogbole, a member of the Technical Working Groups (TWGs) on review of the Medium Term Successor Strategic Plan (MTSS) 2016 to 2020, said, on Monday, that the report will be submitted in two weeks.

Ogbole, a Director at the Centre for Management Development (CMD), said the plan was a successor plan for the National Implementation Plan (NIP) 2010 to 2013.

The Ministry of Budget and National Planning had on Jan. 7, inaugurated the group to finalise the first phase of the development of MTSS 2016 to 2020.

Members of the TWGs include directors and relevant officials of the ministry and its parastatals, which include Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER), National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and CMD.

Ogbole said that the committee would review the gaps and gains in the document.

According to him, the development plan is to drive the change agenda of the present administration.

He said key policies and strategic programmes identified from the plan, would be fed into the 2017 budget.

The process for developing the successor strategic plan commenced nine weeks ago, with the officials working with relevant stakeholders.

The officials had also worked closely with other Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in reviewing the past plans and macroeconomic framework.

The group will also review the draft macroeconomic framework in the light of the oil price shocks and recent developments in the global economy.
