The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned the matter before it against the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, to November 5 and 6.
Chairman of the CCT, Danladi Umar made this ruling in Abuja at the resumption of the trial, pending the determination of a notice of appeal for stay of execution filed at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Rotimi Jacobs, the prosecuting counsel, had moved a motion before the tribunal seeking for an adjournment pending the ruling on the appeal.
In view of the ruling, which was adjourned indefinitely on Monday, October 19, prosecuting counsel urged the CCT as a need to maintain the integrity of the court to await judgment from the appellate court. About 34 senators escorted the Senate president to court.
