BusinessDay to Host SME Clinic Focused on Marketing Strategies for Business Growth

BD1

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) remain a critical driver of Nigeria’s economy, yet many struggle to implement effective marketing strategies that promote visibility and growth in today’s competitive market.

To address these challenges, BusinessDay’s digital department is set to host an SME Clinic-themed “Marketing Strategies for Small Business Owners” on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, at noon. This webinar will offer business owners access to expert guidance, practical tools, and information tailored to their unique business needs.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Linda Ochugbua, Digital Sales Manager at BusinessDay, said, “Marketing is the lifeblood of any business, but many small business owners feel overwhelmed by the constantly evolving landscape. This clinic is designed to break down the complexities of marketing into actionable strategies that SMEs can implement to grow and thrive.”

Despite contributing over 48% to Nigeria’s GDP, SMEs frequently face obstacles in creating effective brand awareness and reaching their target audience. A lack of resources and insufficient knowledge of modern marketing tools have further widened this gap.

The SME Clinic will feature a panel of marketing and business growth experts, including:

– Tomiwa Ogunmodede, Product Designer | Advocate for Inclusive Design | Founder

– Dr. Samson Olatunde, Digital Entrepreneur, Seasoned Digital Marketing, Media and Growth Strategist

– Ogugua Belonwu, Founder of MyJobMag Limited and CEO at Best Value Providers

– Samuel Prince Nwafor, Finance and Strategy Professional

– Alfred Jarikre, Head of Growth and Marketing, Termii Group

Moderated by Lubabatu Abubakar, PR Account Manager at PR Fusions.

This lineup of seasoned professionals will guide attendees through practical approaches to building an online presence, creating engaging marketing campaigns, and leveraging digital tools to increase visibility.

“Our goal with this SME Clinic is to empower entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills that are both relevant and actionable,” Linda Ochugbua added. “Every business deserves the opportunity to grow, and the right marketing strategy can make that happen.”

This event is part of the ongoing SME Clinic series by BusinessDay, a platform designed to address the challenges faced by Nigerian SMEs while equipping them with the tools needed to succeed.
