‘Buhari’s delay in appointing boards, agencies is hurting the economy’

Cletus Ogban, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently re-constitute all federal Boards and agencies to enable the troubled economy be revived.
Ogban said this in Calabar while speaking to BDSUNDAY in an interview. He said though the president is trying to put money into the economy, his fear is that the money will be halted somewhere because most projects are beyond the expenditure limits of civil servants who are in-charge of the various boards and agencies.

Ogban, who is also a senior lecturer at the Cross River State University of Technology, also urged President Buhari to consult with the party leadership at the various states before making his appointments.
He cited instances where some of his appointees do not even regard the party in the state because the party was not consulted before their appointment. He called on Nigerians to be patient with the APC government so as to lay a solid foundation for the country.
