Another fire incident was averted at Agulu in Anambra State on Friday.
A truck fully loaded with petrol had lost its brakes at about 0700hrs on Friday while trying to make a U-turn, according to a statement by the Anambra State Police Command.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, John B. Abang, has visited the scene and Fire Service Department was equally on ground.
Meanwhile, another truck was brought to empty the contents of the tanker, while the area has been cordoned off by the police to prevent casualties, the statement said.
