The German multinational automotive company has once again proven to be one of the world’s leading luxury auto manufacturers, with the all-new electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The Mercedes’ C-Class compact sedan is redesigned for the 2027 model year and is launching as a C400 4Matic electric model, which has a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain.

This car features an athletic GT rear and classic grille, with a range of up to 762km (WLTP) coupled with the ability to clock up 325km on a fast charge in just 10 minutes.

Mathias Geisen, member of the board of management of Mercedes‑Benz Group AG, sales & customer experience said that for decades, the C‑Class has been one of Mercedes‑Benz’s best-selling and most popular model series, continuously raising the bar in the midsize segment.

“With the all-new electric C‑Class, we are redefining the segment once again. It embodies the spirit of progress that has shaped Mercedes‑Benz for more than 140 years.

“This all-new electric C‑Class is a powerful statement of what our customers can expect: groundbreaking technology, pioneering design and distinctive sportiness, while redefining its timeless values of elegance, comfort and intelligence for a new era,” Geisen said.

The company noted that the car will be powered by a 94 kilowatts/hour lithium-ion battery, that can be DC fast-charged at up to 330 kilowatts at an 800-volt charging station, going from a 10 percent to 80 percent state of charge in 22 minutes.

The new electric C-Class also comes with several high-end technology features, including a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen display that spans the dashboard and includes independently adjustable brightness zones for the driver and front passenger, as well as a Sky Control panoramic glass roof that can be switched between transparent and opaque in nine independently switchable segments.

The fourth-generation MBUX navigation system uses artificial intelligence technology from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini for more conversational voice-command interaction.

Navigation with Electric Intelligence system can respond dynamically to traffic jams and changes in driving style when predicting range.

Prices for the all-new electric C-Class vary by region and local taxes, starting at $60,000, with rollouts expected to start in the first half of 2027.
