Determined to enable women to reach the executive and leadership cadre of their career, Bodam Taiwo, the convener of the Refined Lady movement, has perfected plans to host an annual summit tagged, ‘The Refined Lady’s Summit,’ aimed at building leadership skills in career women.
The annual event offers practical strategies to women to enable them to navigate their journey as female leaders in the present generation.
Themed ‘The Female Leadership Series,’ the summit will kick off with a virtual gathering that will hold from June 28 to 30 and will conclude with an in-person meeting on July 1, 2023.
According to the organiser, this year’s summit will focus on building women’s authenticity, authority and impact in leadership and will feature conversations led by phenomenal female leaders across a broad range of topics designed to empower, equip and inspire attendees.

“We speak a lot about the rise of women. What will make this rise even more phenomenal for women is the ability to access a repository of transferrable knowledge and that’s what the summit is looking to achieve this year,” Bodam Taiwo, the convener said.
Explaining further, she said: “We are creating a safe space for the women who have gone ahead of us to share the lessons from their journey, the pitfalls they faced and how they thrived in a world that requires women to become more masculine to demonstrate leadership potential. At the end of this summit, it is my hope that attendees will be inspired and will receive practical wisdom to thrive in this season and transition into the next season.”
The Refined Lady movement equips leading ladies with the tools to rediscover and harness the power of their femininity for them to grow in influence, impact, and authority.
Barong Asiodu, head of Transformation Western Africa at Pernod Ricard; Adenike Adebola, innovation director, Africa at Diageo Brands; Aibee Abidoye, executive vice president of Chocolate City Group; Ivie Temitayo-Ibitoye, head of Employee Relations at Sahara Group, and Abiodun Peters, country legal director of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company are some of the amazing women who are expected to grace this edition of the summit.
