ABC Transport Plc has reinforced its commitment to road safety and professional standards with the graduation of 137 drivers from its Driver Training Academy (DTA).

Delivering the keynote address, Jude Nneji, group managing director of ABC Transport, emphasised professionalism, discipline, and continuous learning as critical pillars in the transport industry.

Nneji said the company remains committed to investing in formal training frameworks that enhance safety, competence, and service delivery.

According to him, structured driver education is crucial for reducing road incidents and sustaining public confidence in mass transit operations.

Representatives from the Federal Road Safety Corps and NABTEB also delivered goodwill messages, commending the academy for its dedication to quality training and road safety excellence.

The event brought together traditional leaders, regulatory representatives, and security officials, reflecting broad stakeholder support for improved driver training standards.

The DTA is a subsidiary of ABC Transport and was established to institutionalise driver education, technical competence, and safety compliance within the company’s operations.

Industry analysts note that as Nigeria grapples with road safety challenges, private-sector investment in structured driver training could play a crucial role in improving standards across the broader transport ecosystem.

With 137 new certified drivers joining its workforce, ABC Transport stated that safety, operational excellence, and continuous professional development will continue to be prioritised.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of DTA and NABTEB certificates to the graduating students by the Group Managing Director, assisted by representatives from FRSC, NABTEB, and the Deputy Managing Director.
