Volkswagen AG has announced the roll off of 1million units from the assembly line in Wolfsburg. Although Industry followers are of the opinion that watching VW Tiguans rolling off their assembly lines isn’t that exciting but when the carmaker says that 1 million units of that model have been produced in Wolfsburg, it is impossible to ignore this achievement.
There are very strong indications that, the German-based automaker is considering the Tiguan a pillar in its lineup. Production of this small SUV is made in 1,000 units daily. The commemorative specs comes with the 1 millionth mark on it, with white R-Line trim.
Meanwhile, the Tiguan in the current generation is getting ready to retire as the next version of the model will hit
the market pretty soon with the next generation of the VW Tiguan is expected to be ready by the end of next year. The model should be launched in early 2015. This next generation will be lighter and will offer more space in the cabin. The Tiguan will play an important role in the future with VW because the company is planning to become the biggest carmaker in the world by 2018.
