The momentum is building for this year’s 9th Lagos Motor Fair/3rd Auto parts Expo and the indigenous companies are not left out as all the big names in the lubricant sector have all declared their interest to participate in the event. It is not out of place to say that the interested firms are leveraging on the outstanding success recorded in the 2013 edition. The 2014 edition holds between May 1st and 7th, 2014.

The lube giants are Mobil, Total, MRS, Forte Oil, Lubcon, Ascon Oil, Honeywell, V-Gold, Techno oil, and Pepco. The 3rd auto parts expo which is slated for May 4th to 7th will run concurrently with the Lagos Motor fair which will last for seven days.

The event which has been tagged as the ‘gathering of the heavyweights’ in the lube sector by these big names, will be providing a platform for all brands to rub shoulder and harness the various opportunities provided by this platform The lube giants, while stating their level of preparedness, revealed that they have been working round the clock with the organising committee to ensure a great outing.

They also highlighted that they will be at the Expo with a wide range of products ranging from the multigrade engine oil for petrol and diesel engines; semi-synthetic multigrade engine oil for petrol and diesel engines; super vehicle performance engine oil; mineral based multigrade and mineral based mono-grade engine oil for petrol engines and other allied products.

The 9th Lagos Motor Fair/ 3rd Auto parts Expo which has already been dubbed a brand promoter, was described by these giants as a platform to retain the potency of their brands and enhance visibility in the market.

In confirmation, Ifeanyi Agwu, the chairman organising committee and the managing director BKG Exhibitions, while commending the efforts of all the stakeholders in the industry in the build-up to the 9th Edition of the Lagos Motor Show/3rd Auto parts Expo, noted that exhibiting at shows of this nature provides a significant opportunity to enhance brand visibility, promote new and existing products, generate leads, and drive incremental sales.

Agwu revealed that “a whole lot of the brands who started with us and are still with us can testify to this. They have moved to greater heights. That is the beauty of trade shows. They take you to another level by consistently keeping you in the minds of your target audience. And we will not relent in making the dreams of these exhibitors come true because of the faith they have put in us over the years.”

He further stressed that “the Lagos Motor show/3rd Auto parts also enables you to stay on top of the latest industry trends, gain competitor insights, make key industry contacts, and further solidify relationships with current customers.”

He further harped on the need for other industry stakeholders to utilise the opportunities provided by the fair to further strengthen and promote the automobile and allied sectors which have the capability of contributing more than 10 per to the annual national GDP.

He also confirmed that the event, which will showcase different brands and models of automobiles, courtesy of the representatives of the different brands, will attract the presence of manufacturers of various auto parts who will be berthing the shores of Nigeria from five continents which include Asia, South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Agwu urged members of the public not to miss the spectacle and also encouraged the business community, especially those who have genuine interest in becoming dealers and key distributors of various genuine auto parts not to miss the opportunity provided by the expo.
