The event was short and direct to the point. Perhaps that buttresses the strategic importance of the Ford brand Quick Lane Tyre and Auto Centre outlet opened recently by Coscharis Motors, importers and distributors of Ford brand into the country in collaboration with Ford Motor Corporation headquartered in the United States of America.

In line with the conglomerate’s policy of delivering excellent sales and after sales services to its clientele, Cosmas Maduka, president/CEO, Coscharis Group said the new outlet simply put, was set up to facilitate and make life easier for the average Nigerian vehicle owner, especially the Ford brand.

He remarked that the Quick Lane Tyre and Auto Centre is part of dealership’s effort at addressing some of the after-sales challenges communicated to it by customers through feedback mechanisms. This is coming at a time from the background that Ford has gained wide acceptance in the Nigerian automobile market, leading to rapid increase for Ford vehicle. With increase in sales came consequent increase in demand for after-sales services.

Prior to this stage, Coscharis group has invested a great deal on after-sales facilities, setting up ultra-modern service centres manned by Ford trained and certified technicians in strategic locations across the country.

Maduka said that the dealership has come to the understanding, judging by the rate at which the brand is growing in the market, that it cannot provide all the after-sales needs alone. Thus the idea of collaborating with Ford Motor Corporation, Quick Lane Tyre and Auto Centre all in the United States and home-based Chacom Motors, to set up the Nigeria version of the American quick service centre network, Quick lane. This is aimed at bringing qualitative after-sales service closer to customers, using genuine spare parts and lubricants.

Quick Lane as an automobile service centre has well over 600 outlets in USA and Canada and provides all the services a car or truck needs most, including an in-depth vehicle check-up report on every visit. They specialise on vehicle maintenance and light repairs including air-conditioning, auto service, brakes, tyres, batteries and much more.

All of these services are performed by factory-trained experts and on customer’s schedule. Customers do not need an appointment before driving in for tune-ups and minor checks and repairs that will be delivered to them while waiting, including evenings
