Entry-level Carens enters UK

Kia Motor Corporation (KMC) has recently has made public the official price list for its Carens MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) in the United Kingdom, which is now available from 17,985 Pounds. According to the South Korean based automaker, the new Kia Carens is smaller in height and width than the model it Is replacing, but it has a longer wheelbase and lower seats, which means that the space in the cabin has increased.

Comparatively, the new Kia Carens is undercutting some of its rivals like the Ford Grand C-Max or the Renault Grand Scenic, and the model is now available to its future customers in the UK from 17,985 Pounds, with class-leading 7-year warranty and the Care-3 servicing pack, covering the first three years of ownerships for 329 Pounds.

The entry-level Kia Carens is using a 1.6 litre petrol engine, which is producing a total output of 133 BHP and 165 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It is coming with stop/start technology and the fuel economy stands at 44.1 mpg while the carbon-dioxide emissions stop at 149 g/km.

The diesel units are using a 1.7 litre engine, and coming in two outputs, with 114 BHP and 260 Nm of torque, which is returning 50 mpg and emitting 124 g/km of CO2, and the 134 BHP and 330 Nm of torque, mated to an automatic six-speed transmission.
