As arrangements for the hosting of the 9th edition of the flagship auto- fair in West Africa ‘The Lagos Motor Fair, continue, visitors, exhibitors and the general public that would be at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, venue of the event have been assured of bumper days of srious business and fun.
Announcing this, the chairman of the Organising Committee for the show, Ifeanyi Agwu, at a press briefing held to give stakeholders up-to-date information of the event scheduled to hold from May 1-7, 2014, said “the fair will be a landmark and a benchmark in auto show business in the entire West African sub-region. He assured that everybody irrespective of age, gender or naltionality, including children would have a rewarding experience.
Ifeanyi Agwu who is also chairman of the organizing committee and also managing director of BKG Exhibitions Limited, main organizers of the show added that almost all the major vehicle manufacturers and dealers in Nigeria are show interest to be at the fair.
The list also includes notable banks and insurance companies; major oil companies; manufacturers and dealers in auto-accessories have indicated interest and are seriously preparing to participate in the event.
In his submission, “Each of the seven days that the fair will last is loaded with activities and events that will make this edition remarkably different and we intend to improve and add on this in subsequent editions,” Agwu, revealed further.
On display will be different kinds of automobile names from the Asian continent dominated by Japanese, Chinese and South Korean auto- firms as well as brands such as Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Kia, Nissan that will be on display.
The European and American Continents will equally be there with products from the stables of Ford, Mack, Mercedes, Chevrolet, Volvo, BMW, Skoda etc. From the home front, PAN Nigeria, National Trucks Manufacturers Limited [NTM], etc will showcase the latest in their ranges of products.
Other product range from personal choice exotic cars, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), Crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), Jeeps, light and heavy duty haulage trucks, and buses of various capacities for corporate and mass transit businesses.
Feelers from most of the firms indicate that visitors to the various stands will enjoy lots of goodies. Some have packaged gift items, lucky dips and many other forms of entertainments, which according to sources will last all through the fair.
