Residents of the United Arab Emirates will be able to use ChatGPT Plus for free because of a partnership between the UAE and OpenAI.

Globally, millions already use ChatGPT Plus to write, study, code, plan trips, draft emails, and more. Now, people in the UAE will be able to make use of those tools for free.

This initiative is part of a much bigger plan, the Stargate UAE project, which involves building the world’s largest AI data centre in Abu Dhabi. The 10-square-mile campus, created with partners like G42, Oracle, NVIDIA, and Cisco, will deliver massive AI computing power by 2026.

The plan includes developing a one-gigawatt AI computing cluster—one of the most powerful in the world. The first phase, delivering around 200 megawatts, is expected to be up and running by next year, according to Economic Times.

The UAE residents will see ChatGPT integrated into public platforms and benefit from using the tool in government apps, schools, or healthcare portals, even without a Plus subscription.

Everyone living in the UAE will get free access to ChatGPT Plus. That means full access to OpenAI’s most advanced AI tools—no subscription needed.
